HBRMV Announces 2017 Home Show
This year’s show to feature live shed-building demonstration
UTICA, N.Y., March 9, 2017 – The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Mohawk Valley is pleased to announce the 2017 Home Show, which will be held on April 1 and 2 this year. The Home Show will take place at the Jorgensen Athletic Center on the MVCC-Utica Campus, and is open to the public. The Home Show has been a local highlight each spring since 1994 and is one of the largest shows in central New York, typically showcasing more than 140 homebuilders and remodelers. Last year, more than 3,000 people attended the Home Show.
This year’s event will feature displays exhibiting new products and services for local homeowners. Exhibits include the latest in new technologies from homebuilders and developers, remodeling and home improvement contractors, and building materials suppliers. Additionally, companies such as HVAC, landscaping, pools and spas, appliances and lending institutions will also be represented at the Home Show.
The Home Show is also excited to announce that this year, the MVCC carpentry class, under the guidance of instructor Ricardo Rosero, will be building a storage shed on-site during the show on Saturday. Show attendees will have a chance to enter a $5 raffle to win the shed. The shed winner will also have the opportunity to choose the participating non-profit group to receive raffle proceeds.
HBRMV would like to take this opportunity to thank the following generous 2017 Home Show sponsors: CBS Utica, First Source Credit Union, New York Sash and the Utica Observer-Dispatch. The Home Show will run from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, and from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.
