9/11 Day of Service Project is Beginning

Fill-the-Bus events are beginning for the 9/11 Day of Service Project.
Every year the Parkway Center, in conjunction with the City of Utica, Oneida County, United Way, and the CNY Vet’s Outreach Center hosts a service project for 9/11. The purpose of this service project is to remember and honor the victims of 9/11. Every year we hold various Fill-the-Bus events that are used to collect donations of non-perishable food items to be stored until the service project on 9/11, when the donations are sorted and used to stock the food pantry at the CNY Vet’s Center. The Fill-the-Bus events will take place on the following dates from 9am-2pmSaturday, August 5 at South Utica Price Chopper; Saturday, August 12 at North Utica Price Chopper; Saturday, August 19 at New Hartford Price Chopper; Saturday, August 26 at Chanatry’s; Saturday, September 2 at North Utica WalMart; and Saturday, September 9 at New Hartford WalMart.
