UTICA, NY—Upstate Networks, Inc. (UNI), leader in the field of payment and vending PC interfaces, today announced the establishment of its newest product distributor, Steward Electronics, Ltd. of Howick, Auckland, New Zealand.

Steward Electronics will distribute UNI’s flagship products, PC2MDB™ and MDB2PC™.

In 2005 UNI introduced the PC2MDB™, a PC-based vending application that utilizes NAMA’s Multi-drop Bus protocol to interface a computer with existing vending equipment. The product allows a computer to be used as a cashless device. Instead of using a magnetic swipe or credit card, a manufacturer can use the PC2MDB™ to authorize vending transactions and increase options that are limited with traditional magnetic swipe cards.
Mr. Chris Smolen, president of Upstate Networks Inc: “We believe that our distributor agreement with Steward Electronics Ltd, will allow us to supply and support our customers in New Zealand and Australia more expeditiously.”
The MDB2PC™ facilitates coin acceptance, change dispensing, smart card reader, bill validators, and allows for international currency acceptance.
Founded in 1994 and incorporated in New York, USA in 1995, UNI is a computer engineering design and manufacturing concern and is the world leader in PC-controlled vending.
