Town of Deerfield to Host 5th Annual Skeleton Run October 14th 2012

The Deerfield Skeleton run will take place this Sunday at the Wilderness Park, Walker Road in Deerfield. Registration begins at 8am.
The main event is a 5K race. This race is a truly challenging cross country run that takes place on the newly constructed town trail system. There will be no running on roads, this race has hills, bridges, mud, and fields. The 5K will be timed by TNT Timing and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female in each category.
The kiddie run is a 1.4 mile fun run. Halloween bags filled with goodies will be given to each child that completes this run.
The 1.5 mile run and 3 mile walk both will take place through well groomed trails and open areas.
Costumes are not required but encouraged.
There will be a pancake breakfast beginning at 8am for only $3 ($2 for runners and children)
For the spectators there will be vendors, hay rides, pumpkins, and local organizations such as NY Life Insurance Company, who will do child IDs.
This Community run is designed to promote healthy living and is a fun filled day for both spectators and runners.
