UTICA –A ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of The Lotus Garden Restaurant’s new location is planned for Monday, October 1 at 1101 King Street, Utica.

The Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, as well as local dignitaries, will be on hand for the ribbon cutting at 11:45 am.  The public is invited to attend.

The Lotus Garden is a family-owned restaurant with a full bar, combining an eclectic atmosphere. Their mission is to have not only a great food selection, but also efficient and superior service – customer satisfaction is their paramount objective.  Their concept combines variety, ambiance, entertainment and a superior staff to create a sense of ‘place’ in order to reach their goal of overall value in the dining and entertainment experience.

“We opened our doors in September 2009 on Bleecker Street, with very little money, high hopes and great expectations.  Through hard work, dedication, and unwavering determination, we are able to succeed in making our place warm, inviting, and comfortable for people to come and sample our food. We are grateful for the community support and we hope to serve them for many more years to come”, said owner Sam Phou.

The Lotus Garden is open seven days a week, from 11am to 10pm, with longer hours on Fridays and Saturdays.  Their extensive menu selection offers fine Southeast Asian cuisine from Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, along with Chinese and Japanese cuisine.  The dining facility holds over 100 people, and they also offer catering.

The Lotus Garden Restaurant is owned and operated by Sam Phou.  For more information contact Sam Phou at 798-8897.

A big WELCOME to The Lotus Garden. While not new to Downtown Utica, having been on Bleecker Street for a number of years, this new location will serve them very well indeed. It is a larger space with improved parking, great visibility and close proximity to The Stanley, nearby offices, banks, municipal facilities and the tourist trade. It also brings high quality Asian cuisine, which is extremely popular throughout our region, front and center – proving that dining out in Utica, New York just keeps getting better! Congratulations to Sam and his entire crew.
