In October, the Utica Public Library will present its annual Cultural Spotlight, with this year’s focus: German Culture.  The kick-off program will be “An Evening of German Cuisine”, held on Tuesday, Oct. 16th at 6:30 pm in the library gallery.  Come and taste some authentic German cooking!  There will also be a series of displays that night featuring many of the wonderful people and things from Germany: everything from Beethoven to German Castles to Mies van der Rohe to the Porsche.  The Utica Maennerchor will have a display of famous local Germans.  The following week, on Wednesday, Oct. 24th at 6:30 pm, the Utica Maennerchor Choir will present an evening of German/Oktoberfest Music.  Both programs are free to the public.  Come and celebrate Utica’s ethnic diversity and discover the rich and beautiful heritage of German culture.  For more information call 735-2279.
